Pros: Definitely One Of The Best RPGs Ever Created, Huge Adventure Aspect, Loveable Characters, Gamecube Additions Cons: Skies of Arcadia II Has Yet To Be Announced
With the announcement of Sega's new RPG, Skies of Arcadia they didn't manage to get much attention, ...
Pros: Still a great game even a few years after the original release on the DC. Cons: None worth mentioning
Unfortunately, many people didnt own a Dreamcast. Segas little white gaming box was a magnificent machine that just never got the mainstream love and respect it so richly deserved. A glance through the library of titles released seems to bear...
Pros: Addictive RPG; challenging, but not impossible; huge world with lots of monsters and items Cons: Fairly trite story; compressed music; obviously an enhanced version of a Dreamcast title.
I've heard it more than a few times -- "There just aren't enough quality role-playing games for the GameCube." And, to a degree, that's true. When you get past Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, there may not be just a ton of quality RPGs out there ...
Pros: exploring, crew building, ship battles, new stuff Cons: random encounters sometimes happen to often
Way back when I was just a little bitty boy living in a box under the stairs in the corner of the basement of the house half a block down the street from Jerry's Bait shop. You know the place. Well, anyway back then everything was going swell and life ...
Pros: Storyline, flying pirate ships, improved random battle system. Cons: Sounds and graphics
Sailing, wind in your face, going off to explore the unknown that is what it is to be a sailor. The only thing lacking is the spray of cool salt water in your face, mainly because there isn’t any. Skies of Arcadia Legends, a slightly reworked port of ...
Pros: great story, great battle sytem, great audio Cons: graphics are outdated, weird sounds made by characters when excited
Nintendo was once the king of rpg's believe it or not. The original ome of final fantasy, the chrono series, and many, many more nintendo was the rpg fans company of choice. Then came along the playstation which wooed away developers with larger game ...
Pros: Great game Cons: Not as good as it COULD HAVE been
I have been absent from this site for quite a while, and this may very well be a one time comeback review. It depends on how productive it is for me. Unfortunately my father recently passed at the age of 43 and I just really need an avenue in which I can ...
Pros: Better Graphics, Better Soundtrack, New Things to be Discovered. Cons: Still a High Encounter Rate, Badly Compressed Music.
Well, let me start off by saying that I've played both Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast, and Skies of Arcadia Legends on the GameCube. And overall, in spite of some problems Legends is the better game. But I'm rating it lower than I would the original...
Pros: Decent Graphics, great story line, not a short game by any stretch Cons: Some animated sequences cannot be skipped, minimal voice comments.
After playing this game, I do not know why Sega had so much trouble with the dreamcast. Everyone I have heard talk good things about it, and now Sega has bowed out of the Game Console's and has given us game cube users this port.
Pros: The Game has you roaming the world on the decks of Airships in the game. Cons: The only problem I could find was that there were to few ship battles.
I found out about this game On the Internet and when I read the reviews I knew I had to buy it. When I did I found that all of my expectations had been completely verified and more. the game is perfect with well fleshed out charecters and a storyline that has you guessing every five minutes. From fighting rampanging Gigas to battling it out ship to ship against Both Valuan warships and Black pirate vessels. from Loopers to the most massive of Dragon monsters. and much much more. Vyse, Aika, Fina and other charecters are wonderfully created with little to no errors. this game makes for a great game that is a must buy for any hard core RPG gamer.
Pros: Great storline, characters are fun. Cons: I really hope they come up with a sequel.
It has beautiful, unique settings. The characters all have a great personality, with deep emotions for some characters. Sidequests and various other things make this game great.
GameCube improves on what Dreamcast started. by marcus1060 ,Dec 29 '03
Pros: The GameCube makes a good game better, with all the extra features and gameplay. Cons: Graphics improved from Dreamcast version, but still not up to par with top Gamecube games.
This game is great! And this version, is better then the orginal Dreamcast version. The graphics better, more game play and more! There is a new wanted battles, more characters, more weapons, discoveries to find, and side quests.
Skies of Arcadia Legends (SoAL)... by jammaster_dt3000 ,Feb 24 '03
Skies of Arcadia Legends (SoAL) is an RPG that takes place in a world called Arcadia that is filled with floating islands. People travel the skies with flying boats. Arcadia is in the middle of an age of exploration. You start the game as Vyse, an adventurous Pirate who is accompanied by his best friend Aika. They are attacking a ship of a powerful Armada. When you board their ship you find that they have kidnapped a mysterious girl. That is just the beginning of one of the most epic RPG's ever made. SoAL has the best story that I've ever seen in a game. The gameplay is excellent too. There are 2 types of battles that you can fight in this game. One is the regular hand-to-hand combat battles. The other is the ship battles where you launch cannons at an opposing ship in strategic positions. There are also countless side quests throughout the game. SoAL lasts 60 hours. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG's. It goes way beyond all expectations.
