What a punch this thing packs. It's immortal.
I've dropped it. I've sat on it. I've gone through three pairs of headphones to the one mp3 player, and that's a personal record.
The sound is nice. Nothing crappy. Plus, different equalizers jazz it up a little.
Just like your fancy schmancy iPods, it has a hold button, which is really nice.
It doesn't skip even though it's tiny and really light. Never.
The blue LCD is very nice, and after I sat on it the second time, the glass was a little cracked and you could only see half the first letter than appeared, but I take total fault for that and give extra credit to the player for holding up.
I forgot how to use the voice recorder, but when I first got it about a year ago, I knew how. It was fun.
Nice design. Great for exercising, little loophole that you could make your own exercisey string-neck-loop thing like the Ipod shuffle if you really wanted to.
My favorite part? The pop-out USB. No cords to hassle with, or in my case, lose, or end up finding it relinquished to the dog-no, it's right there! Really convenient.
It only takes one AAA battery, and it lasts quite some time. Get a four-pack of rechargables and you're set.
Only downside-no shuffle. Since you can't go to a menu and select songs, that's usually what most mp3s offer, but this one didn't. No big deal.
Oh, and the headphones (which were very nice, actually) did die after about six months. But like the player, they were abused quite a bit, so that was to be expected eventually.
It's also very easy to drag and drop songs like any other USB drive on the computer.
Mine holds about 20 songs, and that's enough for me.
All this, and I got it at Meijers, on sale for $30, with a rebate for $15 off that. Nice buy.
It's been a year, and I have abused it more than is fair. I am going to put it at rest and buy a new one.
All in all, 5 stars.
