Pros: Still full of Harvest Moon goodness Cons: Much less enjoyable than the other Harvest Moon games
Introduction
I have been a fan of the Harvest Moon (HM) games for at least a couple of years. I first played the SNES version on an emulator and then when HM came out for the Nintendo 64, I bought that one too. When I had the...
Pros: Nice graphics, Interesting characters, New way to play Cons: Can't marry, No festivals, Few crops and animals
For those of you who don't know, Harvest Moon is a series of farming RPGs. You plant crops, raise animals, and interact with the people in your town, among other things. Usually, the goal is to make your farm prosper, and to marry a girl. This Harvest ...
Pros: New features, great graphics, fast loading times. Cons: Too many things dropped from the game, you can't get married, just seems boring.
Overview
Harvest Moon 3: Save the Homeland, being the latest installment of the series, is actually not that great. It's lost a lot of it's original features, such as: marrying, crops, animals, etc. Instead of having to create your own...
Pros: Smoother gameplay, fast loads. Cons: Missing alot of the previous HM goodness.
Finally, they've brought a Harvest Moon to the PS2! ... Too bad it's kind of boring.
In this game, you have to save the farm within 1 year, or the farm will be tore down (always the scenario). Of course, you don't want THAT to happen! Thus,...
Pros: Good graphics, better, more interactive story line, and multiple endings. Cons: Some good things from previous games are gone, not really long enough.
Get ready for another Harvest Moon title. If you were turned off by previous Harvest Moon titles being deemed a "farming sim" then this one may be more up your alley. This one is more of a "life sim" and will be appreciated by RPG fans. Although some...
Pros: Finally for the PS2!
Unique plot/idea Cons: Fans of the earlier games will not enjoy as much.
Like I said in the "cons", if you have played previous Harvest Moons I don't think this one will offer you anything of interest. But to those who are new to the series, you should at least give this a rental. In what can only be described as Final...
DON'T waste your money by harvest_moon ,Sep 14 '07
Pros: Good graphics Cons: It gets boring quickly.
If you like the other versions of Harvest Moon, DON'T buy this one.
You have 9 different endings. Whenever you beat one, yes, you get to keep your animals and renovations, but all your relationships and ending-specific-items are gone, and you have to start all over. Sometimes by the time you figure out what ending you triggered it's too late to change it, and you have to play that one out before you can go after an ending you haven't gotten yet.
I quit playing after the 5th ending. It's not worth having to introduce yourself and get people to like you every time.
