Preface: This review is of a male enhancement supplement and some of the topics may be considered questionable. If you are easily shocked, embarrassed or things of this nature are not your cup of tea, please do not continue reading.
I don't know any man that would sit there and pass up an offer for a few more inches in the penis department. Tommy, god love him, is one of the people that continually falls for those late night infomercials for everything from chocolate dipping kits to real estate deals. His acquisition of Magna RX Plus wasn't from one of his late night channel surfing adventures but it did start out that way. He saw a paid program about a male enhancement drug that featured adult film star Ron Jeremy. That was probably as far as his brain cells got in regards to digesting the information and what was being discussed; if a porn star is endorsing something then it has to work. Let's back that up and think about other adult film stars and the products they have endorsed as well as their success failure rate [this does not include the "Clone A Bone" Kit]. Even so, he started going through various websites and reading about the "incredible benefits" that some of these supplements can have on men on any age and with any size penis.
I don't have a penis. I can safely say that I will never have a penis. I am however on the receiving end so I can say that most of the time the size of the boat doesn’t matter as long as the captain knows what he is doing. Tommy is not lacking in the penis department but for what ever reason, he felt the need to order this from the website. He stood behind his decision and argued a magnificent case.
1. There is a money back guarantee. "It says it right at the website, if it doesn't work they will give me my money back!"
2. It comes with a free Vivid DVD. "I know how much you like the flicks from Vivid so it was like getting something for you too"
3. It was on sale for $19.99. "Seriously, why are you laughing? It was on sale, like less than half of what it normally sells for and don't forget that free DVD too"
4. It will be an experiment. "Think of the bragging rights babe, maybe you can get it listed at that website and tell everyone how great it works"
There are times when I really stop and wonder if his brain cells stop firing when he is trying to do too many things at one time. Unless you suffer from some type of erectile dysfunction I highly doubt that you are going to be sitting there with your friends and you are going to start talking about penis enlargers. "Oh yeah, check this out, I started taking this stuff and man, I am hung like a horse". I know his friends, if he even thought about bringing up the subject they would never let him live it down so I have no idea who he is going to be claiming his 'bragging rights' to.

The suggested dose for this in one tablet per day but they do say in the literature that if you were to use two a day, nothing bad would happen to you. To put it bluntly, if you exceed the recommended dose of this, you aren't going to see any added results from it. It doesn't say when to take it so I have to assume that this won't make a difference if you take it in the morning or evening. Tommy decided to take two a day for one month and keep track of his progress. This is something that the manufacturer suggests so you can see how well their product is working for you and how much you really need it to improve your sex life. Did you catch that huge wad of sarcasm I just threw at you?
I had to ask him if it was cool to divulge the secret numbers; I mean, he wasn't all that shy about buying it or announcing when it arrived so I didn't understand why he grabbed the notebook off me, ran out of the room screaming like a little girl and hid it. He started off with six and three quarter inches in length [not including the landing strip]; he didn't read the part about measuring the girth of it so for the first two weeks of taking it, he wasn't keeping track of it. For the last two weeks he measured it but didn't write it down - he isn't small so I have no idea why he was so squeamish about writing down some numbers. At the end of the four weeks [two tablets a day] he measured an incredible six and three quarter inches. That means absolutely no gain in length and according to his mental notes, he was the same thickness.
But those are just numbers, how was it on my end? Well, we have a pretty active sex life so it was hard to say whether or not the Magna RX Plus made a difference or not. We usually engage four to five times a week, more if the house is empty. I kept track of things and there was a slight increase in the number of times that we had sex but that could have been due to a number of things. To put it bluntly, he didn't feel any bigger, seem like he lasted any longer [an average of 15 - 20 minutes is the norm] or have a quicker recovery time. The makers of this product say that you can see "real results" in a minimum of two weeks; I wasn't about to toss away another twenty dollars to get another bottle to see if another month would make a difference. Simply put, if something isn't broke, don't try to fix it.
What's Actually In It?
I am going to have to assume that most people aren’t going to know what most of the ingredients are in this. I will give you the shortest definitions possible so that you might know a little more about this if you are considering an over the counter, non-FDA approved male enhancement product.
Pygeum Africanum: Commonly used to reduce swelling in enlarged prostrates.
Maca: Some reports show that it can increase semen quality and viscosity; other reports say that it can help increase sperm count.
Horny Goat Weed: Inhibits the PDE-5 enzyme from becoming active, considered a natural alternative for prescription male erectile drugs.
Oat Straw: Avena sativa; used as a calming agent as has been shown to improve mental clarify in some bland test studies.
Oyster: Relies on the myth that eating oysters, raw or cooked, will increase your sex drive and capabilities.
Catauba: Often compared to a mild form of Cialis; can increase erection time and delay ejaculation in some men who have taken it as an individual supplement.
Oriental Ginseng: Like Oyster, it is relying on stereotypical claims that it can increase sex drive and ability to please a partner.
L-Arginine: A nonessential amino acid, the newest "get hard, stay hard" over the counter supplement that men are raving about.
Stinging Nettle Leaf: Urtica dioica: Used as an anti inflammatory and to naturally reduce blood pressure.
Muira Puama: Ptychopetalum, added as a sexual stimulant,
Orchic Substance: Taken from bovine testicals; added in response to folklore tales of man consuming them and being able to maintain erections for hours.
Smilax Officinalis: Energy and endurance supplement.

OK, I have to admit, when I saw this in the literature that came with it I was intrigued but at the same time I was rolling on the floor laughing. Why? I know what is in this stuff and what its limitations are; if you honestly think that taking an over the counter, non-FDA approved product is going to make you a better lover then I have some stocks and bonds for you to check out. The OTA is nothing more than a clever hook to try to get you to buy it; it relies on general product ignorance and key words to sell a product. Yes, the website does have customer testimonials but who can verify or validate them?
The Bottom Line
To me this was a complete waste of twenty dollars. I left it up to Tommy to contact the company and get the cash back on it. He used it for one solid month and didn't see any type of an increase in his penis size or length. That's not to say that this might not work for some men but I am willing to bet that most men are going to have the same lackluster results. If you want to try to increase your sexual potency, size or girth then read about some of the herbs and supplements that do work. Some of the ingredients in this formulation have really helped people who have erectile dysfunction but for the common Joe that has a properly functioning penis, it might just be a huge waste of money.
