The General has a proto-memory of being gruntled a very long time ago. It was warm and dark; a bit noisy, but he didn't care at the time. Then he was born. It's gone downhill from there, folks.
The sources of his disgruntlement are legion. To name just a few:
- Rabid Republicans
- Rabid Democrats
- Rabid dogs
- Corrupt politicians
- Under-spiced food
- Traffic
- Work
- School
- 90 degree weather
- 100% humidity
- Exhaust fumes
- McDonalds
- Taxes
- Thugs
- Bad films
- Bad writers
- Narrow-minded morons with no tolerance
- Broad-minded morons with entirely too much tolerance
- Self-righteous people (see above)
- People who talk on the cell phone while driving
- Queues
- Body odor
- Needless cruelty
There are some things that make the General slightly less disgruntled. To name a few:
- His family
- Exercise
- Good food
- Good books
- Good films
- Good beer
- Good Scotch
- Good vodka
- International travel
- Learning new and interesting things
- The double-backed beast
Reviewing Penchants
The General reviews whatever he feels like. A good deal of his time is spent reading, eating, and drinking, so those'll crop up again and again. He reads anything and everything, and eats and drinks almost anything and everything. Your commentary on his reviews is always welcome, but is likely to cause disgruntlement. Then again, what doesn't?
The General proffers a surly "Thanks" for stopping by.
Regards,
GD
