I'm a 24-year-old musician and writer who recently finished his undergrad degree at UC Davis. When I'm not here writing car reviews, I'm volunteering at the San Francisco zoo, enjoying the California outdoors, or, well, writing car reviews elsewhere. I'll also be entering a teaching credential program at CSU East Bay this winter.
Uninteresting personal details aside, here's a little background on my reviews. They're are almost entirely based on test-drives (at dealerships or manufacturer ride-and-drives), and not on personal ownership. This means I can't offer much in the way of first-hand reliability information, but it also allows me to write less-biased evaluations--I have no personal investment in the vehicle I'm reviewing, and have usually driven most (or sometimes all) of the models it competes against.
Owners, don't take it personally if you see a harsh review of your own car--it's just one person's opinion, and such criticism helps others who share the author's preferences. I love my 1999 Mazda Miata, but I don't expect everyone else to.
I started posting reviews here mostly to help improve my writing skills in college. But I also aim to be as helpful as possible to Epinions readers shopping for a new car--if you have any questions, I'll enjoy answering them.
